"We did", with my family we left the UK and set up home in Turkey and settled into our dream home. All the doubting family and friends who asked those questions if we where doing the right thing - what would we be treated like, what about the culture, language, work, health, everything you could imagine was offered as away for us to back out and continue in the same old routine, work, bed and so on.
The experience and knowledge we have gained in such a short time has been mind opening to say the very least. We have more Turkish friends than we ever had in the UK, everyone has time for you and goes out of their way to help. We enjoy 300 days sun per year, not 300 days rain wind and snow, it really makes a difference to you and your health and outlook on life - we eat natural foods straight from the farm, organic not processed, the difference is fantastic.
Our friends still ask those questions, but now want to know how to buy here themselves. So, going against what we came here for, We have set up our own business, one of many really, an estate agency, yes the dreaded estate agent - The difference is, we do not try to sell you a house or a villa apartment etc, no one from our office is going to chase you down the street and pester you to come and see what we have for sale, not our way, its your choice, and more importantly your money. We find what you are looking for and use our Turkish partners knowledge to make all the necessary enquiries, as if a Turkish family was interested in buying (Yes there are different prices for Turkish & Outsiders) what starts as Turkish lira ends up as UK pounds a amssive difference. And we "do" make a charge for this but only if you buy, (we all have to make a living some how,) "have a look at our service page and see how we help you make that smooth transition into Turkish life"
We only work for you and keep you informed at every stage of the process, ensuring that you and you alone are in control at all times, very important when your new investment is 3000 kilometres from home.
